Marc Rene Gardeya is CEO Quality Assurance at Layar, Amsterdam. Layar is the inventor and provider of the world’s largest and most popular mobile augmented reality platform. He is also founder and CEO of Hoppala, Stuttgart. Hoppala is a systems integration service provider with focus on the transformation of contents into mobile augmented reality space. Marc started application development for Layar in summer 2009. He was one of the first 50 developers worldwide granted access to the upcoming Layar API during the Layar Beta Developers program. His work was presented on the Layar NEXT event in August 2009 when Layar launched it’s open platform Layar 2.0. Marc has a master in mathematics and computer science and has been working in the field of software engineering and web applications for more than 15 years.
