Datajournalism and the Guardian at re:publica 2010

The current impact and future potentials of Datajournalism will be presented at the re:publica 2010 by Simon Rogers of the Guardian, the British national daily newspaper. Simon will present on: “Datajournalism and the Guardian – How we crowdsourced 450 000 official documents and how we plan to work with open government data in the future.” The Guardian leads the implementation of this medium and can already look back on several successful experiments. Furthermore, the Guardian can set an example for the German media. Through the ‘Free our data‘ campaign, the Guardian media group is involved in the political debate on Opendata in the UK and campaigns for greater transparency of government information.

Simon Roger’s presentation will feature as part of the thematic focus on Opendata which will be held on the third day of the re:publica 2010.
